#TrailCare24 Event

TrailCare24 Event at the Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts train station on August 8 between 1 and 4 pm. It’s an invitation to come and meet our patrollers, who will be criss-crossing this area to make it impeccable.

As part of a national effort to preserve and improve the world’s longest trail network, our entire team is ready to take part in this great event.

TrailCare24 Event Day is a national event supported by Trans Canada Trail, the organization that manages and maintains Canada’s 28,000 km trail network. The event calls on trail groups and volunteers across Canada to take part in the special event and make their mark on the Trans Canada Trail.

OPENINGS, CLOSURES AND CONSTRUCTION WORK

CLOSURE:

The MRC d’Antoine-Labelle has announced the end of the summer season for the section of Le P’tit Train du Nord linear park located within its territory, from KM 112 to KM 200.

This section will be fully closed as of October 13, 2026. Following the closure, the MRCAL will carry out maintenance work on the park’s infrastructure in preparation for the winter season.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION WORK – Saint-Jérôme and Prévost

⚠️ Important: Only the sections affected by the work will be closed as of October 13. The rest of Le P’tit Train du Nord will remain accessible unless otherwise indicated.

Beginning October 13, construction work will take place in two sections for approximately six weeks:

  • Prévost (KM 14 to KM 14.9) – Between De la Station and the Prévost municipal boundary, north of Chemin du Massif

  • Saint-Jérôme (KM 3.9 to KM 7.3) – Between Boulevard des Hauteurs and Rue Bélisle

Please note that no detour will be provided around the closed sections. Due to the nature of the work and the terrain, the proposed alternatives could not ensure users’ safety.

The MRC de La Rivière-du-Nord would also like to reassure outdoor enthusiasts that the affected sections will be ready in time for cross-country skiing and other winter activities. Some finishing and paving work will, however, continue in the spring.

Visit the MRC’s website to view the maps and obtain more information: www.mrcrdn.qc.ca/actualites/travaux-ptdn-automne-2026

🚧 Work in Lac-Saguay – KM 160
Work will be taking place near the P’tit Train du Nord at KM 160. The trail will remain open, except for brief temporary closures during blasting operations. Flaggers will be on site: please follow their instructions and all posted signage for everyone’s safety.
