Trail conditions

The P’tit Train du Nord trail is currently closed between Bois-des-Filion and Mont-Laurier.

With the arrival of spring, several factors are still affecting trail conditions. Persistent ice patches remain in shaded areas, particularly across the MRCs of Pays-d’en-Haut, Laurentides, and Antoine-Labelle.

Over the coming days, field teams will be actively working to prepare the trail for the season:
• surface cleaning
• sweeping debris and gravel accumulated at intersections
• interventions to ensure user safety

In addition, the spring thaw is causing water accumulation and localized flooding, which may impact certain sections of the trail and require further inspection.

Teams from the various MRCs are working in coordination to allow for a gradual, safe, and sustainable reopening of the P’tit Train du Nord over the coming weeks.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide regular updates on trail conditions and segment openings.

Thank you for your understanding and patience — the season is just around the corner, and every effort is being made to welcome you in the best possible conditions.
